WHAT IS MINDFULNESS?
Mindfulness refers to present moment awareness of our full experience. It is both a way of being and a skill we can develop through particular practices, including meditation. It can be hugely supportive in managing the day to day challenges life throws at us. There is a lot of research and anecdotal evidence backing this, yet for many of us the thought of being able to meditate feels like an unmanageable and maybe even impossible task. But this need not be the case...
Mindfulness for Life
Mindfulness for Life is an evidence-based course developed by Oxford Mindfulness Foundation. It combines mindfulness and cognitive science with the aim of supporting wellbeing, reducing stress and building resilience - and ultimately to restore balance in our lives. Each week has a theme, with meditations and activities to develop understanding and the cultivation of a supportive mindfulness practice.
